SRFDCL House

Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The SFRDCL House is a significant administrative building developed for the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL), aimed at supporting the ambitious Sabarmati Riverfront Development (SRFD) project. This initiative focuses on environmental improvement, social upliftment, and urban rejuvenation, with the goal of renewing Ahmedabad’s urban landscape. The SFRDCL House is strategically located upstream of the Nehru Bridge on the western bank of the Sabarmati River.

With a total built-up area of 170,000 square feet, the building features a design that includes three basements with a total height of 12.0 meters, retained by a robust diaphragm wall that reaches 21.0 meters. The overall structure consists of three basements plus a ground floor and five additional stories (3B + G + 5), providing ample space for various administrative functions.

Designed by HCP Architects, the SFRDCL House serves as the headquarters for the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation, as well as housing offices for the Town Planning Department and Urban Planning Department. The architectural approach emphasizes functionality while integrating with the broader goals of the riverfront development project.

Our firm has provided detailed structural consultancy for this project, focusing on the design and implementation of the diaphragm wall and ensuring that all structural elements meet safety and engineering standards. The SFRDCL House not only serves as a pivotal administrative center but also symbolizes the commitment to sustainable urban development along the Sabarmati River, enhancing both environmental quality and community engagement in Ahmedabad.
