The Government Medical College and District Hospital at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is a significant project developed for the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department. This facility encompasses a total area of 850,000 square feet and is designed to enhance healthcare services and medical education in the region.

The hospital campus features a hospital building designed as a basement plus ground plus eight-story (B+G+8) structure, covering an area of 275,000 square feet. To address the challenges posed by shallower groundwater tables, a raft foundation has been adopted for the hospital building, ensuring stability and durability. In addition to the main hospital structure, the campus includes essential facilities such as a nurse hostel, a resident hostel, a service block, an electrical substation, and a sewage treatment plant (STP).

The government college campus consists of an academic block designed as a ground plus seven-story (G+7) building with a total area of 230,000 square feet, facilitating medical education and training. The campus also includes separate hostels for boys and girls, both constructed as ground plus seven-story (G+7) buildings with a combined area of 140,000 square feet. Furthermore, the residential block features staff residences in four configurations with stories ranging from ground plus two (G+2) to ground plus nine (G+9), covering a total area of 105,000 square feet. Additional structures on the college campus include an interns’ hostel, enhancing accommodation options for medical students.
