The 30 LLPD BANAS Dairy at Sanadar, developed for Banas Dairy, a greenfield project, stands as a testament to engineering excellence and innovation, constructed amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdown. Spanning an expansive 245,000 sqm (151 vigha) plot, this state-of-the-art facility features a built-up area of 63,500 sqm, designed to process up to 30 LLPD (expandable to 50 LLPD) of milk while integrating the latest technologies and modern infrastructure.
Key highlights of the facility include India’s largest milk silo, with a capacity of 250 KL, ensuring efficient milk storage and processing. The dairy also boasts an 80000 LPD ice-cream plant, a 20 TPD butter plant, and the nation’s largest automatic khoa plant with a capacity of 20 TPD. Expanding beyond dairy, the facility houses a potato processing plant, capable of producing 48 MT of French fries per day and customized products at 1 MT per hour, diversifying Banas Dairy’s product offerings. The facility’s infrastructure is further strengthened with a modern boiler housed in a steel structure, a utility building, tanker reception and sampling units, a CIP kitchen, TK office, and admin and canteen buildings, ETP. A significant sustainability initiative includes the installation of a 1 MW solar panel plant, generating 4,500 units of electricity daily, substantially reducing energy costs and the carbon footprint of the facility.
Completed within an impressive timeline of 18 months, despite the logistical challenges of the pandemic, the project showcases meticulous planning and execution. It was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, reflecting its significance in the nation’s dairy and agricultural sectors.
We provided tendering, master planning, architectural design, structural engineering, and MEPF services (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, and Fire Protection), along with landscaping and interior design, for this landmark project. This facility not only exemplifies Banas Dairy’s commitment to innovation and sustainability but also underscores its pivotal role in empowering local farmers and contributing to India’s dairy ecosystem.
