Chocolate Plant Located in Mogar, Anand for AMUL Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., is a brownfield project which represents a remarkable transformation of an existing facility into a state-of-the-art Chocolate Plant with an additional focus on nutrition-based products. With a total built-up area of 32,700 sqm, the plant is designed to produce 1,000 tons of chocolate per month, along with 20 TPD (Tonnes Per Day) of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and 200 TPD of Take-Home Ration (THR).
The facility showcases an aesthetically pleasing architectural design, combining colonial-inspired elements with modern industrial infrastructure. A striking example of this is the unique porch in colonial architectural style, offering a distinct identity to the plant. The main chocolate production building is a ground plus two story (G+2) RCC structure with a self-supported roof on the terrace, accommodating large-span structures for process requirements. A key highlight is the 14-meter-high chocolate cold storage unit, equipped with an advanced moving rack storage system to optimize space and efficiency.
Beyond production facilities, the project involved a comprehensive makeover of the Mogar facility, including upgrades to the main gate, internal roads, landscaping, and general infrastructure, ensuring a cohesive and modern environment.
For this transformative project, we provided tendering, master planning, architectural design, structural engineering, and MEPF services (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, Fire Protection). Additionally, we delivered meticulous landscaping and overall infrastructure planning, blending functionality with visual appeal. Our expertise in optimizing structural systems and designing for economic and efficient execution ensured the project met stringent timelines and high standards of quality.
This chocolate plant serves as a cornerstone for innovation and growth in the chocolate and nutrition sectors. By integrating advanced technology and modern processes, the facility not only enhances production efficiency but also reinforces the region’s position as a hub for dairy and chocolate production. The inclusion of RUTF and THR reflects the broader vision to contribute to nutritional well-being, aligning with the cooperative’s mission to deliver value to society. Through our collaboration on this iconic project, we take pride in contributing to both economic development and the advancement of food technology in the region.
