The 80 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Satlasana, developed for the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, is a pivotal infrastructure project aimed at improving water supply and management in the region. Located at the Vav Headworks, this facility is designed to efficiently treat and distribute large volumes of water to meet the needs of local communities.

Key features of the WTP include a cascade aerator, which enhances oxygen transfer and improves the overall quality of treated water. The plant is equipped with three clarifiers, each with a diameter of 37.0 meters, designed to facilitate effective sedimentation and separation of solids from water, ensuring high-quality effluent. To further enhance the treatment process, the WTP includes ten twin-type filter beds, each sized 6-9 meters by 9 meters. These filter beds play a crucial role in removing remaining impurities from the water, providing an additional layer of purification before distribution. A significant component of this facility is the 50-lakh liter sump, which serves as a storage reservoir for raw water prior to treatment. This sump is essential for managing fluctuations in water supply and ensuring a continuous flow to the treatment processes. The main pump house, measuring 30 meters by 12 meters, is strategically designed to support efficient pumping operations, facilitating the movement of treated water to various distribution points.
