Located in the picturesque hilly terrain of Khed City, Pune, this greenfield project of Dairy at Pune for the AMUL Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., spans a total site area of 46,150 sqm with a built-up area of 19,800 sqm. Designed for AMUL, India’s leading dairy cooperative, the plant is an epitome of efficiency and sustainability, reflecting AMUL’s vision to enhance the dairy ecosystem and empower local communities. The facility boasts an Ice Cream Plant with a production capacity of 50,000 liters per day, expandable up to 1 lakh liters per day. Additional production units include 5 TPD (Tonnes Per Day) each for Paneer, Sweet, Yoghurt, and Shrikhand. This modern dairy plant contributes significantly to the local economy by creating jobs, fostering ancillary industries, and boosting farmers’ income through increased demand for milk and milk products.

Nestled in a hilly region, the project is meticulously planned to minimize environmental disruption. By optimizing the site layout, cutting and filling were kept to a minimum without compromising the plant’s functionality. The Main Plant Building, a GF+2 RCC structure, houses all production units, featuring 7.2-meter-high floors for process efficiency. To optimize space utilization, RCC mezzanine floors are constructed in areas with lower height requirements, which are utilized for administrative functions. The plant incorporates state-of-the-art technology and modern architectural elements such as glass facades enhancing a plant’s contemporary appearance and faster construction. A dedicated cold storage unit with capacity up to 10 Lakh liters, canteen, utility building, ETP/STP, LPG gas station, time-keeping office, weighbridge cabin, and general facilities ensure smooth operations while maintaining minimal pedestrian-vehicle intersection.

For this landmark project we have provided tendering, master planning, architectural design, detailed structural engineering, and MEPF services (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, Fire protection). Additionally, we handled landscaping and interior design, creating a facility that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Our expertise emphasized optimization, economical solutions, and timely delivery, ensuring the project met AMUL’s ambitious vision.
