The Uma Converter facility at Timba is a modern greenfield project designed to cater to the dynamic needs of flexible packaging manufacturing. With a total plot area of 35,150 sqm and a built-up area of 10,000 sqm, this plant underscores Uma Converter’s legacy as a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium-quality flexible packaging solutions. The facility offers a wide range of customized packaging solutions for industries such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and more.
The main building, an innovative hybrid structure combining RCC (GF + FF) and a steel shed roof that reaches a height of 19m, accommodates critical operations such as extrusion coating, blown film printing, SL lamination, and rotogravure printing, alongside other general manufacturing facilities. This thoughtfully designed space ensures streamlined workflows and supports high-performance equipment for precision manufacturing. Additional support structures, including the utility building, electrical room, workshop, toilet block, and hot room, have been strategically planned to ensure the seamless operation of the plant. Provisions have also been made for future expansions, including facilities for a raw material store, ink kitchen, cylinder preparation and cleaning, admin building, canteen building, and underground solvent tank, demonstrating forward-thinking master planning that prioritizes scalability and adaptability.
We provided a comprehensive suite of services for this project, including Vastu compliant master planning that optimized land use and ensured efficient plant layout. Our architectural planning integrated functional efficiency with a modern design, while our structural engineering ensured stability and longevity, considering the complexities of a hybrid RCC and steel structure. The MEPF services (Electrical, ELV, & Plumbing) were meticulously designed to meet the demanding requirements of the manufacturing processes, ensuring the safety, energy efficiency, and smooth operation of the plant.
