The Intake structure for Desalination Plant at Dahej is a groundbreaking infrastructure project designed to transform seawater into a reliable water source for industrial purposes. Strategically located near the coast, this facility features a sea water intake structure with a main chamber measuring 35 meters by 15 meters and a depth of 19 meters. This robust structure is essential for the effective extraction of seawater while ensuring structural integrity against environmental challenges.

The intake structure is connected to two additional chambers, each sized 13 meters by 10 meters and 14 meters deep, facilitating efficient water flow and management. The entire setup is retained by a 30-meter-high diaphragm wall, which was constructed using a top-down method without anchors. This innovative construction technique allows for stability and resilience in the face of high-water pressure, particularly important given the elevated water table in this coastal area.

Above the intake structure, the pumphouse measures 35 meters by 15 meters, housing six vertical turbine pumps designed to efficiently move sea water to desalination plant, treats the water which is used for various applications. The design of the pumphouse and intake structure reflects our commitment to creating complex yet sustainable solutions that can withstand challenging conditions.
